Maca (Lepidium meyenii) maca is a type of cruciferous vegetable native to the Andes of Peru. Maca root acts as a natural antioxidant, boosting levels of antioxidants like glutathione and superoxide dismutase in the body. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful free radicals, fighting off chronic disease and preventing damage to cells.

Maca has a similar appearance and size as radishes or turnips with green tops and roots that range in color from yellow to purple & black.

Maca root is also known as "Peruvian ginseng," even though it doesn't belong to the same botanical family as ginseng. Maca is used to boost energy, libido, helps balance estrogen levels, helps improve male & female sexual health including fertility for both. It also enhances mood, memory & energy without giving you the “jitters” or a sense of shakiness like high levels of caffeine can.
